Did It Work?

I just logged into my blog today and tried to show the video I did about making Cabriole legs to one of my co-workers. (http://tallminiguy.blogspot.com/2009/04/video-how-to-make-cabriolet-leg.html)
To my surprise, it would not play on the computer we used,. I noticed that there were no comments about that post, which got me to wondering if it didn't work for other folks who tried to view it. So, my question to you, dear readers, is this: did it work for you? If not, please post a comment to let me know so that I can figure out what I need to do next time I decide to post a video to this blog. Thanks!
Geo.

Hi George. I must not have been following you at the time you posted this video because I do not remember it....but it DID play for me. I was going to ask if one could use a jewelers saw (since I do not have an electric jigsaw, which looks pretty slick, I might add). I guess it would take much longer and certainly more work to complete....but I think the video is clear.

Excellent! I'm glad it played for you. Yes, a jeweler's saw would work for this. I'd use a blade that isn't quite as fine if I were trying to cut the leg out of a hard wood. The jeweler's saw would be great with pine or bass wood.

Hi George! The video did work for me then(I'm using Mac and Fedora Linux), now when I try it on Win XP - it works too.
Btw, thank you for this video! I wanted to try making cabriole legs for a long time, and yesterday I did it (we bought new jigsaw this weekend)! Looks pretty good, I'll try to post the result today.

The video plays for me. I will go back and look at it later. My mind is too busy buzzing with other things on my own dollhouse to be done today to fully appreciate it.

Hi George,

It worked for me too! It sounds like a software problem you if you can't view it.

Anyway, fabulous video and I learnt lots! Great idea about cutting the picture out and then use it as a guide! I wish I could make my own furniture, I'd love to. At the moment I tend to make pieces from kits and I do have a jigsaw etc., I'm just not good with saws in general!

It worked perfectly for me, and I enjoyed the video - now I have to get my scroll saw out and get to work....

It worked beautifully for me. What a wonderful video! As my miniature interests expand from Tudor/Jacobean to Queen Anne, cabriole legs have remained a mystery to me. Your clear and concise instructions have made the whole process understandable, even for a woodworking novice like me :) Thank you so much!
